Amos Alligator's Airport Adventure

This story app will read to you or you can read it yourself. After each page, you get a  little movie and a 3D activity. I like these things because they make the story more interesting. My favorite activity is the one where you have to wake him up with the sun, rooster, alarm clock and other things. There are two things I do not like in this app--the sound effect when Amos hits the log and the way the airplane is on fire. To download the app, click HERE.

*Mama's sidenote: Teachers can have the students use this app to practice rhyming words, to identify spelling patterns, for a story starter, for predicting outcomes, to practice directions (left & right), and reading comprehension via a sequencing activity.

Math Ninja

In this app you are the ninja, and you have to kill the bots. Once you've killed several bots, you get math problems.  They could be addition, subtraction, multiplication or division--you can set it up the way you want.  Throughout the game you earn money to buy new weapons. The main objective is to protect your treasure from Tomato-San, the Tomato Warrior. Here are a few tips when playing...focus on the catbots before the dogbots because they are faster, when buying weapons use your money wisely and beware of the multiple bots.  I like this app because its exciting and fun to be a ninja.  One bad thing about this app is...if you can't read, you won't understand what Tomato-San is telling you because there is no sound...just words.
